APIs are everywhere and so are the risks. If you’re working in DevOps or dev teams and want to build more secure apps the API Security in the World of DevSecOps course from APIsec University is a solid place to start. It’s free, practical and perfect for anyone looking to bring security into their development workflow. Or just do it for the fun.
My Thoughts
I am not a developer, coder or writer. But I found this course very interesting. How security will go hand in hand i development cycle. I learned a lot of things in these 2 hour course. And in the end it sounds like there gonna be more on this topic in the future. The course is led by Scott Bly, a cybersecurity pro with over two decades of experience securing complex systems across companies like AWS, Noname Security, and SIS. Scott brings a technical know how and big picture strategy, making even advanced API security topics approachable and fun to listen to. As I said before, I am not a programmer but still I found this very useful knowledge.
Who Should Take This Course?
Anyone involved in building, securing, or managing modern applications can benefit from this course. It’s especially valuable for (my thoughts)
- Developers who want to build secure APIs without slowing down their workflow.
- Security engineers looking to embed security earlier in the development process.
- DevOps professionals aiming to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- IT leaders and architects focused on scaling secure practices across teams.
If you’re working in or moving toward a DevSecOps environment, this course will help you bridge the gap between speed and security practically and effectively. Or if you as me just interested in security stuff.
